Our Trip to the Beach
On Friday we walked to New Brighton Beach. We saw a dead stingray. We could see its mouth and its teeth. I thought I could hear a sea creature.... I think it was a whale but we couldn't see it. We learnt 'No plastics at the beach!' You're not allowed them, otherwise the sea creatures will die like the poor stingray. Put your plastics in the rubbish, you know. Be kind to the whales and the stingrays and the crabs. We are supposed to put our rubbish in the rubbish bin... the nearest one. Hold onto it very tight! If there isn't a rubbish bin, take it home in your car. By Bella

Kia ora Bella, Thanks for writing this blog post and telling people to take their plastic home or put it in the rubbish bin. When I read your blog post it reminded be of this YouTube stop motion animation about the effects of plastic on our ocean. Your teacher might be able to show you. ReplyDeleteThat would have been amazing seeing a Stingray. Did you find any plastic or rubbish at the beach? Nga mihi Elizabeth K
I didn't find any rubbish at the beach. It was nice and clean. From Bella
DeleteMorena Bella. This sounds like a really great trip to the beach. It would have been interesting to see the Stingray up close, I hope it was not careless use of plastic that caused it to die. You have written a really clear message to remind people not to throw their rubbish away on the beach. I hope people listen to you.
ReplyDeleteThe beach trip was super great.I hope it wasn't plastic that made the stingray die. From Bella
