At the Loose Parts Shed the children were working together to create houses. There was lots of trial and error and laughter as they tried out their solutions. They successfully built a two-storied house then realised that they hadn't thought about how they would get into the house!
A step was created so that they could climb over the side and into the house. So much fun was had at this activity and it was a shame when we had to pack up. Thank goodness we have the Loose Parts Shed as an option for Choice and Challenge each week.
Kia ora Rongo mā Tāne, it's Elizabeth K here. I like the photos you've added to your blog post. The last photo I'm really curious as to how you'd get out of the house and was this also a challenge? I wonder if the wolf came along from the The Three Little Pigs would your house still be standing? Is there a way that you can make your houses bigger so I could fit in one. Ngā mihi Elizabeth K
